The BJP-ruled central government is avoiding the responsibility of corona vaccination of employees above 18 years of age. As a result, the employees of the company have to depend on the state for vaccination. Employees of various organizations are lining up to get the vaccines collected at the expense of the state. As a result, the pressure is increasing on the health department. Every day new unrest is being created. Just as the west bengal government has taken the initiative to vaccinate its own workers, the question arises as to why the Center is not taking the responsibility of vaccinating its own workers.
Ashwini Kumar Majhi, The CMOH of the jhargram district, said various centrally-owned companies/agencies were keen to get the Covid Vaccine bought by the state. They often want to submit their list.
Vaccine famine is going on across the country. Already, the Modi Government has shifted the responsibility of vaccinating 18- to 44 year olds to the state governments. The state has to collect the vaccine for vaccination. If necessary, the vaccine should be bought from abroad. However, it is now clear that the Modi government is totally avoiding the responsibility of vaccinating not only the people of the state but also the employees of central government agencies or state-owned enterprises. There is no loud voice for them to reach the vaccine.
As a result, the pressure is increasing on the state government. Employees of central-owned companies (CPSUs, CPSEs) in different districts are collecting lists to get vaccinated together. In many cases, their family members are also being asked to be vaccinated, which has caused serious problems for the state health department.
This problem is most prevalent in West Burdwan district. There are many state-owned enterprises and central institutions including Railways, SAIL, ECL, IOCL, CMPDI. They are very anxious to get vaccinated. At various times they have been trying to negotiate with the district magistrate and the district chief health officer and try to create a pressure. Which often leads to chaos.
At present, the state government has made special rules for corona vaccination in the vaccine crisis. Vaccinations are being given in groups based on need. This is done by identifying those who can spread more infections. In this situation, everyone wants to join a certain group. Experts say there would be no problem if the central government took the initiative to vaccinate those working in the central government.
All India Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien put up a video clip in which he said “Nothing happened (in Bihar)… Elections finished, they forgot. Same thing they’ve done (in West Bengal): Free vaccine jumla… vaccines for all in Bengal. Don’t believe the BJP. Don’t trust the BJP.”
Conclusion : After the release of the results of the state assembly elections 2021, the BJP’s dream of occupying West Bengal has not been fulfilled and that’s why bjp government is not co-operating in any way. They want chaos in anything, including vaccinations. They are not taking the initiative to vaccinate their own workers and are putting the blame on the state and increasing the pressure.
